2016 - 2- half day workshops for the Dept. of Health; Publication of research paper on Bermuda History of Immigration; presentation to the Bar Council on Restorative Justice; presentation to Bermuda Chamber of Commerce; release of Racial Justice Platform.
1) Funding to underwrite the cost of 2-day Restorative Practices training given by a licensed trainer of the International Institute of Restorative Practices at a cost of $350 per person in order to train facilitators for the TRCC and spread the understanding and need of restorative practices in the community.
2) Funding to support the ongoing Truth & Reconciliation Community Conversations launched in January 2017 island-wide.
a) To train individuals to become facilitators in the ongoing island-wide truth and reconciliation community conversations. We hope that within 3 years almost 3,000 people will have attended the TRCC sessions and up to 60 people will be trained in restorative practices.
b) To train others from across the community in restorative practices in increasing numbers.
